The Top 10 Easy Allergy Friendly Christmas Recipes for Kids

The holidays this year look a bit different, but that doesn't mean we can't have just as much fun with the kids in the kitchen! It is about 10 days before Christmas and here are 10 of my favorite easy allergy friendly recipes to get your family ready! Let the countdown begin!

CHRISTMAS TREE & OWL WAFFLES

(GLUTEN, DAIRY, EGG, SOY, PEANUT & TREE NUT FREE; TOP-14-FREE; VEGAN)

For these pumpkin waffles, I used Hungry Harry's top 14 free mix and a waffle maker. I substituted my favorite alternative milk, and used banana instead of egg.


To make the tree I used Enjoy Life chocolate for the trunk, a strawberry for the star, Kate Safe and Sweet green food coloring for the the color, and Edward and Sons sprinkles for the ornaments.


To make the owl, I used raspberries and Dandies marshmallows for the hat, apples for the wings, feet and beak, banana and Enjoy Life chocolate chips for the eyes, and grapes for the eyebrows.

SNOWMAN OVERNIGHT OATS

(GLUTEN, DAIRY, EGG, SOY, PEANUT & TREE NUT FREE; TOP-8-FREE; VEGAN)

How to

Mix all the ingredients in a bowl and stir very well. Cover and leave it in the fridge overnight. Serve cold or warm. I used blueberries and lime for the eyes, blueberries for the mouth, orange for the nose, and apple for the hat.

CHRISTMAS TREE BLONDIES

(GLUTEN, DAIRY, EGG, SOY, PEANUT & TREE NUT FREE - EXCEPT COCONUT; TOP-9-FREE; VEGAN)

I used Safe + Fair key lime blondie mix. I made the flax egg as directed on the bag, swapped my favorite alternative milk for regular milk, and used dairy free butter! Once the pan of blondies was done, I used a tree cookie cutter to cut them ou

SPICE CAKE

For this beautiful spice cake I used a Nordicware tin and Namaste Foods spice cake mix. I used water instead of milk, oil instead of butter, and applesauce instead of egg.


REINDEER CREPES

(GLUTEN, DAIRY, EGG, SOY, PEANUT & TREE NUT FREE; TOP-14-FREE; VEGAN)


For these crepes, I used a mix from Hungry Harry's. I added a little extra water, substituted my favorite alternative milk, and used applesauce instead of egg. Once the crepes were done, I set them aside to cool. Once cooled, I folded them and used a bacon, strawberries, and candy eyes to decorate!


CHIA SEED PUDDING

(GLUTEN, DAIRY, EGG, SOY, PEANUT & TREE NUT FREE; TOP-9-FREE; VEGAN)

Ingredients

  • 2 cups unsweetened alternative milk (use your favorite, thicker works better)

  • 1/2 cup chia seeds

  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extracts

  • 1 tablespoons pure maple syrup

  • 1 teaspoon matcha (for the green part only)

Combine all ingredients in bowl and mix well without the matcha. Separate a small portion into a different container. Mix the matcha into the larger container and mix the chia seeds again after 5 minutes in both. Then, keep covered in the refrigerator until set. Will be ready in 3 hours. Portion into your favorite dish and layer the colors! (This recipe makes enough for a few portions!)


CHRISTMAS TREE QUESADILLA

(GLUTEN, DAIRY, EGG, SOY, PEANUT & TREE NUT FREE - EXCEPT COCONUT; VEGAN)


Take a gluten free tortilla and melt dairy free shreds in the middle. I topped it with guacamole, cherry tomato halves and dairy free cheese stars at the top!

REDINDEER TOAST

(GLUTEN, DAIRY, EGG, SOY, PEANUT & TREE NUT FREE; VEGAN)

I used gluten free bread, chocolate sunflower seed butter mixed with regular sunflower seed butter for the color variations, gluten-free pretzels for the antlers, and raspberries for the nose.
